Why are some of the stems on my geranium seedlings turning pinkish red in color?

they have about 6 leaves plus the cotydelons. some of the stems are turning red. why? are they dying?

They sound healthy at this point. I like to use a product called "NO DAMP". It prevents these tender, young plants from decaying at the soil which can harbour nasty bacteria.

Reply:some colors or geranium have a reddish cast to the foliage.
Reply:It depends upon the variety and also the weather in your area; if it is still cool for them, they often turn a bit red when developing.
Reply:Do you know what variety of Geranium? Cold is usually the cause of Geraniums turning a deep red on the foliage and stems.
Reply:Sounds like it is still too cold for them in your area. The red color is a sign of it being too cold, give them sometime before you put them outside.
